About Dr. Hoang
Dr. Nga Hoang is a Board-Certified orthodontist, deeply passionate about providing excellent care for her patients. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Highest Honors from UC Davis. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF, where she also completed her residency in Orthodontics and Masters of Science degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. She was awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Clinical Award from the American Association of Orthodontists for her Master’s research, and she has published her research in Progress in Orthodontics.
Dr. Hoang stayed on after residency as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF to teach the next generations of orthodontists while pursuing a career in private orthodontic practice. She is passionate about giving back to her community so she has volunteered her time as an orthodontic professor at the La Clinica De La Raza Orthodontic Night Clinic in Oakland, CA for the past 9 years.
Dr. Hoang loves making her patients smile, and when she’s not practicing orthodontics, she enjoys watching sports, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and young son.
